Welcome to my blog
My name is Tracee’. Rooted and Rising began long before it had a name. It was forged through years of sitting with survivors in courtrooms and in therapy rooms—listening to stories of domestic violence, stalking, abuse, neglect and profound loss, and walking alongside people as they navigated systems that were often overwhelming and confusing. Drawing from experience as a victim advocate working within the court system and as a contract therapist in outpatient settings, this work is grounded in both clinical training and real-world advocacy.
With a background that includes CPS investigations, foster care case management, and specialized support for survivors of intimate partner violence, Rooted and Rising was created to offer trauma-informed services that understand how legal systems, family dynamics, and personal history intersect. Advanced training in trauma, crisis response, victim advocacy, and mental health further shapes a practice that prioritizes safety, clarity, and collaboration—helping clients feel both supported in the moment and equipped for what comes next.
I hope that on these pages, you will find something inspiring, motivating, and useful in your journey to create the life you want to live, not one you feel forced to endure.
